Eggs for hair quickie. This page has quick reading information about eggs on an adult’s hair.
Hello everyone! I hope that you all are doing just fine!!! Our topic today will be eggs! Let’s read below to see ways we can use this in our hair. It is time to start using healthy ingredients you know, things from nature don’t you think so?
I AM NOT A DOCTOR :
I just want to start off by saying I am NOT a doctor so please DO NOT use this information in place of one. You should talk with your doctor BEFORE using eggs. I do like to reference websites that have been reviewed by a doctor so that you know you are getting good info. Still do not use this information in place of a doctor! Also the info I give you on this page comes from my life experiences (just in case if you were wondering and NOTHING was made up). With that being said let’s get started.

BIBLE VERSE :
Matthew 22:36-40 ICB
36 The Pharisee asked, “Teacher, which command in the law is the most important?”
37 Jesus answered, “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul and mind.’
38 This is the first and most important command.
39 And the second command is like the first: ‘Love your neighbor as you love yourself.’
40 All the law and the writings of the prophets depend on these two commands.” (See Source/Reference F below).
EGGS FOR HAIR :
The purpose of this site is to teach you how you can use eggs for an egg shampoo, also a protein treatment (there are other ways but this is all we will talk about for now). Here you will find some ways that can help you out! These are things that I have tried in my own hair and it worked! So I am letting you know so it can work for you also! To be honest, I know everyone’s hair is different. I am truly hoping this will work for you like it works for me!!!
In my hair I use eggs (the entire egg) for 2 reasons: to wash it and as a protein treatment. You can use the eggs by itself or mix it with other ingredients.
This is how I make mine (for the protein treatment and shampoo):
1. Crack open an egg. Start with 1 egg (for longer hair, maybe try 2 eggs).
2. Put it in a bowl and give it a good stir mixing the egg whites and yolk together.
The different ways you can use eggs :
As a protein treatment :
3. I like to mix mine with clay, water and carrier oil.
4. Put it on your scalp and hair. I like to start from roots (your scalp) to tip (the ends of your hair).
When I use eggs as a protein treatment I mix it with other ingredients and make a mud wash/shampoo/mask. I love this!!!! It is a nice all in one get the job done package for me. It has my protein treatment or moisture treatment and something to clean and condition my hair all at once!!! Talk about a time saver!
I do feel a difference when I use plain eggs on my hair. Don’t let me scare you when I say this but it feels a little stiffer in a good way. That means it’s doing its job!
As a shampoo :
3. I like to mix mine with different ingredients like carrier oil or banana or aloe vera or honey! Just don’t let the mixture get too liquidy so it doesn’t run all down your face!
4. Put it on your scalp and hair. I like to start from roots (your scalp) to tip (the ends of your hair).
I tried eggs a couple of times to wash my hair and it seemed to work for me in the past. (I stopped so I could find other options. Eggs are a keeper for me)! Keep in mind the only thing I put in my hair is just oils. I don’t like putting store bought products in my hair, I rather make something from the kitchen and use that instead (that’s why I use eggs). So that might make a difference when using eggs to wash my hair also. I do buy a natural as I can find shampoo and use it once a month or I just make some soapnut tea/liquid/water. After I rinse the shampoo out sometimes I rewash my hair with egg then rinse it out so the last thing in my hair was something natural. Yes, I know that is a lot!
BENEFITS :
~High quality protein (See Source/Reference A below). This is why I use eggs as a protein treatment.
~ Some people use egg whites as a clarifier for hair, suggesting that the egg whites contain enzymes that could remove excess buildup on the hair (See Source/Ref D). This is why I use eggs as shampoo.
~ Egg whites are high in protein as well as vitamins such as niacin and riboflavin. These nutrients all play a role in hair growth and renewal (See Source/Ref D).
~ A specific fat called lecithin that is in eggs could help to moisturize the hair (See Source/Ref D).
~ The yolk is also high in fat, which is why it can enhance hair softness (See Source/Ref D).
~ One of the key elements of egg yolk is sulfur, which is an important component of hair (See Source/Ref D).
~ Folate (See Source/Ref E).
~ Selenium (See Source/Ref A).
~ Phosphorus (See Source/Ref A).
~ Choline (See Source/Ref A).
~ Biotin – Vitamin B7 (See Source/Ref B).
~ Antioxidants lutein and zeaxanthin (See Source/Ref B).
~ Vitamin content of one large egg yolk (See Source/Ref C) :
• Thiamin
• Riboflavin
• Niacin
• Vitamin B-6
• Vitamin B-12
• Vitamin A
• Vitamin E
• Vitamin D
• Vitamin K
~ Egg yolks contain at least seven essential minerals, including (See Source/Ref C) :
• calcium
• iron
• magnesium
• phosphorus
• potassium
• sodium
• zinc
SIDE EFFECTS :
~ If you are allergic to eggs do not use it on your hair (See Source/Ref D).
Doing a patch test would be a good idea to try first.
OTHER INFO :
From experience rinse off the egg in your hair out with cold or cool water!
CLOSING :
See now we know for sure that eggs can be used to do all these wonderful things listed above! For me it was washing my hair and protein treatments. With this information you can now make endless recipes! I hope all of this helps you!
